First foray into setting up a Multicast capable client/server. Does the Socket component have the ability to handle multicast?

Answer

No, the Chilkat Socket component is for TCP connections, optionally with SSL/TLS, and with support for various proxy types (SOCKS, HTTP). It does not support multicast.
