The POP3/SMTP component states that it supports:
"Find and unobfuscate the linked domain names in an email."

However the IMAP component does not. Is that an error, or are there any plans to add that functionality to IMAP message reading as well?

The feature you describe is implemented by the UnSpamify method of the email object, which is used by both IMAP and MailMan (POP3/SMTP). UnSpamify unobfuscates emails by undoing what spammers do to obfuscate email. It removes comments from HTML bodies and unobfuscates hyperlinked URLs.
