Question:

UntarZ always gives Invalid compressed data (D)

Feb 17 '14 at 20:30

Using UntarZ, files are successfully extracted but I always get a failure. What does this mean and how do I get rid of it to get a successful return? The extracted files look fine:

UntarZ:

Invalid compressed data (D)
Failed.

Answer

Maybe what you really have is a tgz (Tar + GZip) and not (Tar + "Z" compression). Try calling UntarGz instead.

Answer

No joy – I get Invalid GZip ID if I use UntarGz

Answer
