I am a long time user of Chilkat. Now I want to use the Xamarin libraries. I have downloaded and installed the related sample application for Android. It opens well, but when building it fails constructing various classes that inherits from CkObject. What is CkObject and how can I get it or build it? Your assistance is appreciated.

This happened to me, too. You need to add the ChilkatObject.cs in your solution, along with ChikatConst.cs. ChilkatObject includes the class CkObject.

The CkObject is a C++ class, but Chilkat for Xamarin is for C# applications. Chilkat provides a 100% managed .NET assembly in conjunction with a native shared lib (for Android). (For iOS, it is a 100% managed .NET assembly in conjunction with slices and layers of static libs.)
The only error I would expect w.r.t. "CkObject" would be if somehow this internal C++ object was not included in the native shared library -- but I don't see how that would be possible.
