I'm trying to submit a Chilkat xml question, and want to show some sample xml data so I can explain the problem. However, I can't find out how to format the question so the xml data, including tags in pointy brackets, appears to viewers. (All pointy bracket nodes are invisible in the preview.)

Markdown doesn't seem to address this problem, even on the Daring Fireball page.

Try to paste and then highlight your XML in the edit box, and then click the preformatted text icon (looks like binary numbers 101/010) in the toolbar.

Thank you jbpro! That basically solved my problem.

There was one irritation that kept popping up, though. Sometimes when I tried your suggested method I was asked to input a URL, instead of it just accepting the formatting. I had to give up a couple of times on saying "dir" in pointy brackets, because I got the URL input box. (It happened here while trying to add this info.)

But my major problem was solved, and I thank you.
