Question:

CkFTP - When is MLSD not used?

Jan 21 '15 at 22:22

Inside the FTP session log, I see as part of the response to the initial FEAT that CkFtp sends:

 MLST modify;perm;size;type;unique;UNIX.group;UNIX.mode;UNIX.owner;

So I expected CkFtp to use the MLSD command to perform directory listings. However, CkFtp seems to use LIST in this case and that causes issues because the directory listing is not interpreted correctly.

I am not 100% sure if my client is using the latest version, but am I wrong to think CK should have used MLSD in this case? Are there circumstances CK will use LIST even when MLSD is available?

Answer

Gert, I made the fix. Version 9.5.0.47 will be out very shortly. Look for the update in the downloads web pages on chilkatsoft.com
