Question:

can Objective-C library (Lib/arm64) work on a MacBook Pro (64 Bit)?

Apr 05 '15 at 18:49

Hi, i'm developing an iOS app on my iPhone5S using Xcode 6.1.1, and i'm using some of your products. So,i've downloaded the following file: "Chilkat iOS Objective_C, Swift, and C++ Libraries for iOS (all versions)", in order to include the Lib/arm64 into my project.

but i keep getting the following error:

ld: warning: ignoring file /Users/user/Downloads/chilkat-9.5.0-ios 5/lib/arm64/libchilkatIos.a, file was built for archive which is not the architecture being linked (x86_64): /Users/user/Downloads/chilkat-9.5.0-ios 5/lib/arm64/libchilkatIos.a Undefined symbols for architecture x86_64: "OBJC_CLASS$CkoCert", referenced from: objc-class-ref in ViewController.o "_OBJC_CLASS$_CkoCrypt2", referenced from: objc-class-ref in ViewController.o ld: symbol(s) not found for architecture x86_64 clang: error: linker command failed with exit code 1 (use -v to see invocation)

My question is: can the Lib/arm64 work with my MacBook Pro (64-bit) ? or am i missing something!!!!

Regards.

Answer

I think you will need to use the Cocoa Objective-C library for OS X. Available here: http://chilkatsoft.com/downloads_objc.asp
