I need to save the email locally on the system (android). Is one save option better than the other... .eml vs xml when it comes to size, format, possibly loosing information, etc?

EML (which is MIME format) is definitely better.

Would it be better to store the messages in a SQLite DB vs locally on the phone itself? I "think" I read that Android stores GMAIL in an SQLite DB. Just wondering which might be faster for using. As a first time android programmer, I am concerned on "space" and speed compared to a PC.
